Month 4 - USA
A culinary journey through the comforting flavors of the American South
Celebrating 250 Years!
This month, Snail Mail Supper Club is bringing you home - to the American South, where food is an act of love, hospitality is a way of life, and the table is always set for one more. July 2026 marks 250 years of this great, complicated, delicious coutnry, and we can't think of a better way to celebrate than with the dishes that have fed American souls for generations.
This month's menu is deeply, unapologetically Southern. You're starting with a platter of Classic Deviled Eggs; creamy, tangy, and gone before you know it. Then comes the main event: Southern Fried Chicken with a crust so golden and crunchy it shatters when you bite into it. Alongside, slow-cooked Southern-Styel Green Beans that have been braising low and long in bacon fat until they are silky and magnificent. And for dessert, Texas Sheet Cake, the greatest chocolate cake in America, topped with a warm poured fudge frosting that sinks into every bite like it was always meant to be there.

This Month's Core 4
Southern Fried Chicken
The crown jewel of Southern cooking - crispy, golden, and juicy all the way through. The secret is a buttermilk brine that tenderizes overnight and a seasoned flour dredge that fries up impossibly crunchy!
Classic Deviled Eggs
A Southern party table staple - creamy, tangy, and impossibly snackable. The secret is in the perfect hard boil and a filling that's smooth as silk.
Souther-Style Green Beans
Forget everything you know about crisp, bright green beans. Southern-style green beans are slow-cooked low and long with bacon and onion until they're silky, deeply savory, and just a little bit falling apart - and they are absolutely magnificent!
Texas Sheet Cake
Texas does everything bigger, and dessert is no exception. This legendary sheet cake is rich, fudgy, and feed a crowd straight from the pan - topped with a warm poured chocolate frosting that soaks into the cake as it sets. It is, without questions, the greatest chocolate cake in America.
